On Mission
The Church at Canyon Creek
Local Missions
Many years ago, God began stirring in our church a desire to have an eternal impact on our local community. We began to develop relationships with local ministries and look for ways to partner with them to reach our community. Local missions partners provide rich opportunities for our church to impact our neighborhoods and the community of Austin with the love of Christ. Those partnerships provide - for our congregation - hands-on, frontlines engagement with the community so that we can be Jesus’ hands and feet.
There are lots of ways to get involved in Local Missions - as an individual, as a couple, as a family, as a member of an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF), or a Life Group - whatever makes the most sense for you. We just want to encourage you to dive in and start making a difference in the lives of others, and for God’s Kingdom.
If you want more information about how to serve either through an ABF or as an individual, email Missions Pastor Keith Tooley at: keith@tcacc.net

Bridges International

Bridges International is a ministry within Cru (formerly Campus Cru sade for Christ) that seeks to reach out to International College Students studying in the U.S. We serve them by connecting them with American families, helping them with their English, and meeting other needs that they may have. Our desire is to send them back to their countries not just with a degree, but with the Lord of the universe directing them in every way. (Church members Russ and Di Zimmerman work with Bridges Internationl full-time.)

To reach out to an international student, or students, contact Kerby Goff at: kerbygoff@cru.org

Young Life

Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults who are concerned enough about teens to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. Young Life started in Greater Cedar Park in 2008 at Cedar Park High School. Since then it has, with God’s provision, expanded to Vandegrift, Rouse and Vista Ridge high schools, and Henry and Four Points middle schools, with hopes to have a presence at every high school and middle school in Leander ISD. There are several ways for people to get involved.

Foreign Exchange Student Program

Have you ever wanted to travel abroad to see and learn about a new country? Well, hosting a foreign exchange student is a great way to learn about another country right here in your own home. Host families provide a student with a loving home and meals; however, the students have their own spending money and insurance. This is an amazing opportunity that will truly benefit your family as well as the student and his/her natural family. Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) has been working with students and families since 1947 and would love to work with you.
